St Luke's Hospital 2014
This large former hospital site comprised over 30 buildings of various ages and sizes on a site covering around 8 hectares. Professional Demolition Ltd undertook the demolition of all structures.
- Liaison with specialists due to party wall considerations and the potential presence of bats on site
- Soft-stripping of the buildings and segregation of the waste streams to maximise recovery, reuse or recycling of the arisings
- Superstructure demolition including careful segregation of stone and timber for architectural salvage
- Processing of all brick and concrete to generate approximately 9,000m3 of secondary aggregate for re-use on site.

Trespass & vandalism had rendered the site dangerous, increasing liabilities to the Health Trust and, following a process of asbestos recovery, Professional Demolition Ltd undertook the demolition of all the structures to leave the site in a safe condition.
The work programme took approximately 6 months to complete.
