AstraZeneca CTL Building 2015/16

With the pharmaceutical company relocating its main headquarters, the 400 acre estate is now being transformed in to a mix of commercial and residential property.

  • Management of asbestos and radiological waste removal
  • Disconnection of services
  • Soft stripping of all buildings and segregation of waste to maximise recycled materials
  • Demolition of a number of buildings and breaking out of slabs and foundations
  • Crushing suitable material down to 6F2 to be re-used on site.
  • Grading the site to the required levels for development

With the pharmaceutical company relocating its main headquarters, the 400 acre estate is now being transformed in to a mix of commercial and residential property. Professional Remediation were appointed by Manchester Science Partnerships to undertake the controlled demolition of several buildings as well as the soft stripping of the remaining office blocks which are to be refurbished. As principal contractor professional remediation managed the containment and removal of asbestos from site and worked alongside Public Health England to remove hazardous radiological waste.
